Volunteers are the hands and feet of Student Life.
They bring energy, compassion, and a servant’s heart to everything we do, whether welcoming students, supporting events, or helping behind the scenes.
Simply put, we couldn’t do this without you.

Student Life Volunteer Roles & Duties
All Volunteers
- Greet students, smile, introduce yourself, and make an effort to make students feel welcome.
- Engage with students during arrival and throughout the meeting; refrain from extended conversations with other volunteers or adults.
- Remember, our mission is for students to always know they are SEEN, HEARD, AND LOVED.
- Be comfortable praying with students when needed and guiding conversations around the weekly topic. Guided questions and suggested closing prayers will be provided.
Welcome Crew
- Greet students at the door with warmth and energy (side hugs, high fives, fist bumps).
- Help new students feel comfortable and connected. If a student seems unsure:
Ask if it’s their first time.
Welcome them warmly and express excitement that they chose to attend.
Direct them to snacks or seating and attempt to engage them in conversation.
- Direct students on what to do next (finding a seat, what to expect in the meeting).
Snack Crew
- Set up snacks and drinks before students arrive.
- Keep refreshment areas clean and stocked throughout the meeting (check between lunches if applicable).
- Assist with cleanup, including returning leftover snacks to boxes and organizing supplies in the wagon.
Set Up/Tear Down
- Arrive early to ensure the space is clean, chairs are set up properly, and trash cans/trash bags are available.
- Stay to help pack up and reset the space after the meeting.
